The Russian singer Zara and the Italian artist Andrea Bocelli got the MUZ-TV channel award, nominated as “The best international duet”. The solemn ceremony of the 15th annual national TV award, devoted to popular music, was held in Moscow June, 9th.

That evening many celebrities of Russian show business got together in SC “Olympiysky”. Before entering the hall all of them were walking on red carpet. Zara came, accompanied by a famous Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, her outfit demonstrated a strict aristocratic style, not extravagant though.

Maxim Galkin interviewed Zara a blitz. A showman greeted the Italian singer, and being asked such a question as “is it Zara’s deserve that Bocelli arrived at the MUZ-TV ceremony”, Zara answered: “Certainly, we couldn’t miss the most authoritative award of our country, and maestro did us a favor coming here”.

And then Zara revealed a secret, having told, that she was going to sing with Andrea as a duet and it’s gonna be a premiere of a song.

The first time viewers were able to see this duet in November 2016. Zara and Andrea Bocelli were singing on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace within a big solo concert by the artist, devoted to the 20th anniversary of her musical career. This duet turned out to be a true gift of that evening, and Andrea Bocelli very warmly commented questions about Zara.

“When I was introduced to Zara, she sang ethnic songs to me, and I got really delighted! Then it turned out that she also can sing both in English and French. She absorbed different cultures, remade them in her own original manner. Zara is a singer of an absolutely world level! She has a wonderful voice, passionate temper. As well she owns deep Russian soul and alluring Oriental charisma”, Andrea Bocelli said.

The duet performance of Zara and Andrea at the MUZ-TV award was amazing. Both artists, together with the orchestra, were standing on swinging platforms, hanging over the stage. Being on them, they sang a lyrical composition “Con Te Partiro”, and after the American actress Kelly Who handed “plates” to Zara and Andrea Bocelli, the Honored Artist of Russia appealed to viewers.

“I was listening to CDs of the great Andrea Bocelli being a child and I’ve never thought that our duet could be real. Last summer we made friends with his nice family. Dreams come true. Today, for the first time along my twenty-year-old career, I’m singing on this respectable ground and award. Thanks a lot to you”, the singer said.

“I like Russia very much, for me this country means a land of great writers. Today, when I’m thinking of Russia, I start thinking about Zara’s wonderful voice in addition”, maestro Bocelli added.

Finally, at the end of the MUZ-TV ceremony Zara and Andrea presented one more amazing composition to the audience – “La Grande Storia”.
