ZARA HELD THE FIRST MEETING WITHIN THE PROGRAM “REMEMBER YOUR ROOTS” IN THE PETERSBURG GYMNASIUM

The singer called school children not to forget those who help them to grow up.

The singer Zara held the first meeting within the program “Remember your roots”. She told to the children from high secondary school of the Petersburg gymnasium 56, how to achieve success and what she is thankful to the teachers for, the correspondent TASS reported.

During the conversation with the students, the singer called them to believe in their business and not to forget those who help them to grow up. “Our destiny is the result of our actions. Believe in things that you do and do it from your heart, never give up. Never forget your teachers, parents and those who help you to become a real person”, the singer wished to them.

Among her teachers she named Andrew Petrov, Alexandra Pachmutova, Nikolay Dobronravov, Oleg Pogudin, with a special warmth in her voice she told about Ludmila Senchina who went away on Thursday morning in Petersburg in her 68 year to come. “I want to say something else about one of my teachers – Ludmila Petrovna Senchina. She influenced me and my vision of life: we often spent time in her country house and in her small flat on the Petrograd side. She had not an easy life, sometimes she had to go to far towns, to work in the theatres that didn’t answer her status and then to come back with triumph but she didn’t complain on it”, Zara shared. At the meeting the singer also sang some songs of the war time. Zara pointed out that the meeting is held in the day of a great importance for her – the day of Leningrad unlock, when it is the time to remember about the heroism of our grandfathers who defeated our state from fascism.

The school children were interested, why Zara has become the ambassador of the football championship 2018. “Many people surprisingly say: “Do you know where you are and where football is?”- the singer answered. – I’m an artist for peace by UNESCO, work with people who have limited abilities. At the championship I have the same task: I’m responsible for people with limited abilities to feel comfortable at the stadiums: they need special ramps, banisters, emergency buttons”.
Zara also told about the organization of the ethnic festival in Kolomenskoe in 2017, in the Moscow area where the performers of ethnic music from different countries came. “We mustn’t forget ethnic music because modern music comes naturally from it”, the singer thinks.
