THE FESTIVAL OF ETHNIC MUSIC WAS HELD IN KOLOMENSKOE

The international festival of ethnic music “Music of our hearts” gathered 15 thousand citizens and guests of the city. The event took place on Saturday in the capital park Kolomenskoe.

“Our festival is getting bigger, this year 15 thousand of viewers, speaking different languages, came from other countries and towns, last year there were 10 thousand, I hope, that year by year we will be able to attract more viewers”, said the singer and the arranger of the festival, the artist for peace by UNESCO Zarifa Mgoyan, known as Zara.

A Russian actor, musician, VJ Oscar Kuchera added, that this event was aimed to attract attention to the whole variety of national musical culture of different nations, and also to unite people, speaking various languages with the help of art.

“We remind each other, that despite the fact we are different, and we live in the same country, we are one big family, where each of us can share something good, so it is called “Music of our hearts”, the compere of the festival shared his idea.

The next stars performed at the fest: the singers Zara and Alsu, the Cuban Cossack choir, the Serbian composer and the performer Goran Bregovich, VIA “Belorusian pesnyary”, the Armenian presenter of “Eurovision-2017” Arcvik Arutunyan, the singer form Israel Ishtar Alabina and other musicians.

According to Zara’s words, a cultural forum like that lets cultivate “love to one’s culture, rich heritage of the country”, and also to cultivate “respect to other nations, despite race and nationality”.

The first festival “Music of our hearts” took place in Kolomenskoe in September 2017 and included the artists from Russia, Serbia, Israel, Georgia, Uzbekistan and other states.
