The Russian singer Zara shared her view towards the fact, that the airport Pulkovo will be completed with the name of Fyodor Dostoevsky. She said about it to “”.

“To be honest, in the first contest tour I preferred to vote for Peter the Great, but according to the fact , that the name of Russian emperor was taken by Voronezh, and in the second tour I voted for Fyodor Dostoevsky. It seems to me, that it’s a right decision, that our airport will be named after him, because when we discuss Russian literature with foreigners, they talk about Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chehov in the first turn”, Zara said.

She also added, that she considers herself as a true lover of the writer. According to her words, once she played Nastasya Philippovna in the theatrical institution.

“Every time, analyzing his characters, I realized, what a genius writer he is. Fyodor Michailovich, first of all, wrote about people, about their inner conflicts, tempers, challenges, overcome by humans. Dostoevsky’s works are a national property of Russia for sure, where the image of Russian man is glorified in his numerous actions: in good and evil, love and indifference. His characters are complicated and deep”, Zara concluded.
